State Final Examinations - General Provisions
Bachelor's and Master's studies are duly completed by a state final examination.A prerequisite for the conclusion of studies is the successful completion of all enrolled courses or their cancellation according to the rules set out in the MU Study and Examination Regulations.
The state final examination consists of the following separately classified components: The condition for access to the final examination is the submission of the bachelor's or master's thesis. Only the electronic version of the thesis is submitted to the IS MU archive.
Students who plan to complete their studies with a state examination always enter the subject SOBHA and the code SZZ (determined by the programme and field of study).
Undergraduate programs:
Uniform code (same for all bachelor programmes and majors) - SZB
Master's programs:
Uniform code (same for all M.Sc. programs and majors) - SZMGR
Students register for the thesis defense and the state final exam by registering the codes SOBHA and SZB or SZMGR no later than the end of the course registration changes specified in the schedule, see. 2/2021 on the orderly completion of studies in Bachelor's and Continuing Master's degree programmes.
Since the spring 2017 semester, the obligation to repeat the SZZ according to the Dean's Measures on the Repeat of the Bachelor's State Final Examination applies.

Each part of the State Final Examination is evaluated by the committee with the words "pass excellent", "pass" or "fail".
