The Faculty of Informatics was founded in 1994 as the first purely informatics faculty in the Czech Republic. Today, with ever-increasing interest in studying, it provides informatics education at all levels of higher education to two thousand students in both Czech and English. In addition to high-quality teaching, cutting-edge research is conducted in more than twenty laboratories, often in cooperation with the faculty's industrial partners or companies located in the science and technology park on the faculty's campus.
