GPU on FI
The following machines can be used for GPU computations at FI:
Aura server
The Aura server has two NVIDIA A100 80 GB PCIe servers connected via NVLink. It is automatically accessed by staff and PhD students; and others on request by any of them. If you wish to access Aura, you should consider whether the needs would be covered by, for example, GPUs in A219 or the PC hall.
See also the Aura documentation.
Arachne server (in preparation)
The Arachne server will have four NVIDIA H200 141 GB servers connected via NVLink. Staff and PhD students will automatically have access to the server.
Classroom A219
In
A219, all Linux machines
nymfe{87..105}
are equipped with
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (16 GB).
These machines are available as standard between 7-20 a.m. The machines are primarily used for teaching, so care must be taken, especially for the teaching
nymfe105
, to ensure that if remote working does not negatively affect the teaching in progress.
If necessary, these machines can be put into virtually non-stop mode at the request of a staff member (except for reboots for updates, which always take place at 5am).
See also information on GPUs on Nymphs and on Nymphs in general.
PC hall
The Linux machines
nymfe{01..03}
in the
PC hall are also equipped with
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (16 GB). These machines run in nonstop mode by default (except for the 5am reboot), including holidays.
See also information on GPUs on Nymphs and on Nymphs in general.
Classroom C119
The Windows machines
sirene{01..28}
in
C119 have an
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070. These machines are only available for remote work outside of the tutorial zone, and specifically the
sirene{01..05}
machines run permanently.
See also information on C119 and classrooms in general.
Classroom C403
The Windows machines
faiax{01..12}
in
C403 have
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070. These machines are only available for remote work outside of the tutoring zone and specifically the
sirene{01..05}
machines run permanently.

Laboratory resources
There is no general access to these machines and depends on the decision and possible agreement with the lab:
