English at FI

For Bachelor's Study Programme Students

  • The basic English you need to master to sit the final bachelors exam is contained in VB001 Specialist English. But it isn’t actually a course—it’s an exam. It takes place at the end of the semester and verifies whether your command of the language is truly at the B2 reference level of the Common European Framework.

    VB001 Specialist English

  • If you’re not sure about the level of your English skills or you want more practice, enrol in VB035 and VB036. They’re there to help you. After completing the second course in spring, you can sign up for the VB001 exam.

    VB035 English I and VB036 English II

  • In addition to the basic courses, you can also take English language seminars and intensively practise whatever skills you need to improve, particularly those related to your communication ability. This will improve your competencies and boost your confidence. To conclude the course, students usually give a final presentation at IBM.
