Missing entrance exam
Examining the admission exam for a post-graduate master's degree may be requested by an applicant who has successfully completed a bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields or is a student of the last year of a Bachelor's degree program in computer science or related fields. At the same time, the applicant must have a study average for the entire bachelor's degree not exceeding 2.00 (according to the classification scale corresponding to the ECTS principles used at MU, in the case of a different grading scale at the school it is necessary to contact the study department of the Faculty of Informatics MU) or must belong to the fiftieth percentile your study program. Examining the admission exam to the post-graduate master's degree may also be requested by an applicant who has successfully completed Master's degree in Informatics or related fields, or if he / she is a student of the last year of a Master's program in Informatics or related fields (in this case, study average). The affinity of the field will be assessed when filing the application.
The possibility of rejecting the entrance exam does not apply to applicants who have already been enrolled in a FIMU postgraduate course.
An applicant for a waiver of a test will send a written request to the Study Department so that it is delivered by the end of the filing period.
- To waive the admission exam on the basis of the bachelor's degree, the applicant will enclose the list of completed subjects in the Bachelor's study together with the obtained average of the study issued by the respective higher education institution (it is possible to prove also the percentile achieved). If a candidate has already completed a bachelor's degree, the statement of the subjects must be issued after the graduation. If the candidate is a student of the last year of the relevant study, the list of subjects must be issued not earlier than 3 months before the date of the entrance examination.
- In order to waive the admission examination on the basis of a master's degree, the applicant will enclose with the relevant universities (or school) an extract of the subjects undergraduate in both Master's and Bachelor's degrees. The list of subjects from the Bachelor's degree program must be issued after its completion. If an applicant has already completed a master's degree, the statement of subjects must be drawn up after the graduation. If the candidate is a student of the last year of the respective master's degree, the list of subjects must be issued not earlier than 3 months before the date of the entrance examination. The condition for admission to study is in this case the completion of the relevant master's degree including the composition of the state final examination accompanied by an officially certified copy of the diploma.
In both cases, statements of subjects must be documented in Czech, Slovak or English, or in other languages, after consultation with the Foreign Affairs Department. In case the candidate has completed or studies a study program at the Faculty of Informatics MU, the list of subjects is not required. Both requested and unsolicited materials are not returned.
An applicant who studies in a Bachelor's degree program at the Faculty of Informatics MU and fulfills the criteria for submitting an application for a waiver of the entrance examination does not have to apply. Examination of the entrance examination will be evaluated automatically on the basis of a properly submitted study application. The waiver of the entrance examination will be announced to the tenderer in electronic form.
