Interdisciplinary Research Team on Internet and Society (IRTIS) is a research team operating at the Faculty of Informatics and the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University. IRTIS studies information and communication technologies and their impact on individuals and society. We examine this area comprehensively from the informatics, psychological, sociological, communicational, and media studies perspectives.

At the Faculty of Informatics, we focus, for example, on user security, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and machine learning applied to the processing of natural language and human behavior in the information technology environment. As part of the FUTURE project, we examine how mobile phones affect young people. We strive to design innovative methods and procedures using machine learning to answer specific questions about human behavior when using information technology.
