    LabDay 2024

LabDay will offer topics for bachelor's and master's theses, Ph.D. study opportunities, lab work and meetings with teachers and students.

Topics for bachelor's theses, diploma theses, collaboration in labs and meetings with teachers and classmates will all be offered by the new LabDay event at the Faculty of Informatics. It will also introduce students to projects they can already participate in during their studies that can help them kick-start their careers. The first edition will take place on 23 October from 10am to 1pm.

"This is a completely new event, the main goal of which is to introduce all students to the laboratories at our faculty and their activities, to show them various possibilities of possible collaboration in the labs - to present free topics for bachelor's and master's theses, involvement in ongoing or upcoming projects, and of course the possibilities of Ph.D. studies," said Barbora Kozlíková, Vice-Dean for Science and Research.

The first faculty LabDay will begin with a brief introduction of all the labs in the D2 auditorium at 10 a.m. and then move to the foyer in front of the auditorium and the atrium of the entry building.

"The event will be mainly in the form of direct contact with students - after a very short introduction in one of the lecture halls, we will move to the foyer where each lab involved will have its own "booth". We want to give students and labs as much space as possible for specific discussions," added Kozlíková. Those who prefer to study the information first will also find it useful. Introductory information will be prepared with all contacts for further individual consultations.
