Researchers’ Night will reveal the mystery of FI

The Faculty of Informatics will traditionally join the programme of the Researchers’ Night, whose central theme this year is MYSTERY.

In cooperation with the Institute of Computer Science of MU we have prepared a fascinating programme for all ages:

    • Peek under the veil of cyber threats.
    • Find out what text data hides.
    • Experience the power of your own senses as you interact with modern technologies such as virtual reality, Motion Capture and 3D printing.
    • See how electronics are designed, programmed and controlled in autonomous vehicles, robots and drones.
    • Learn how neutrons and gamma rays are detected in and around facilities working with nuclear materials and what we are working on with nuclear scientists.
    • Discover what happens to a digital image and its pixels in a computer.
    • Test your knowledge of the IT world in a quiz for all ages.
    • Try your hand at 3D modelling and then paint your digital masterpiece.
    • See the results of student projects, including the best of the FI MU Film Festival.

Researchers' Night will take place on Friday 6th October 2023 from 6 p.m.

For more information, visit the Researchers’ Night website.

We look forward to welcoming you at FI!
