  • Honorary Doctorate for Professor Henzinger

    Proposed by Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University will confer honorary doctorate (Dr.h.c.) to prof. Thomas A. Henzinger on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015.

    Prof. Henzinger is a president of prestigious Institute of Science and Technology, Austria. He has earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford (1991), and honorary doctorate from Fourier University in Grenoble (2012). His research group invents mathematical methods and develops computational tools for improving the reliability of software in concurrent and embedded systems. He is one of most cited scientist in Computer Science. Impact of his results is indicated by h-index 90 and by more than 42,000 citations.     Due to the importance of this event, the Dean of the Faculty of Informatics announces deans off from 9:00 to 12:00. This timeframe is set so that there is enough time to move to the great hall of MU at the Faculty of Law, Veveří 70, to attend the ceremony. Faculty management heartily invite you for this extraordinary event. Wide attendance is a way how to pay a tribute to prof. Henzinger for his contributions in the field of Informatics.
