These are pictures taken in my home town, Banská Bystrica. Most of them were shot during late autumn, capturing the slightly depressive atmosphere. They also capture the town's brutalist architecture present all around the former Eastern Bloc states.
In this picture you can see a graffiti tag, portraying people's lack of regard for public infrastucture. In the background you can see a concrete-only playground, legacy of a gone-by era still shaping the today's scenery.
Children's playground, abandoned during this time of year.
A small stream flowing between the blocks of flats, covered by a thin layer of ice formed in the night, resisting the faint rays of an autumn's morning sun.
A display of artillery cannons from the World War II, in front of the Slovak National Uprising Museum.
Muzzle brake of the german Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. J tank, also on display as part of the museum's exhibition.
Graffiti on the walls of a pedestrian underpass.
A composite night shot of a new apartment building. The sky was shot with shorter shutter speed than rest of the image. The final image was composited in GNU Image Manipulation Program from the two individual shots. The images were shot on a really bad camera stand, and as such the camera not only moved between the shots (which could be resolved during the compositing), but also during the shots (since the shutter was open for multiple seconds), resulting in the imperfect, blurred composite. This picture was shot on a differnt day than all previous ones.
