Design and implementation of plug-ins to existing presentation
applications in order to collect SCORM-compliant indexing tags
and to feed them to the WP1 recording tool
Feasibility study
- State-of-the-art of integrated metadata generation capabilities of existing presentation applications (Adobe Acrobat, OpenOffice,
Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.)
- Investigation of metadata generation capabilities of widespread operating systems (Windows, Linux). Metadata could be collected
at the operating system level from the title of the window in which the presentation system is running.
- Selection of the subset of presentation applications and operating systems addressed by the project
Design and implementation of plug-ins generating SCORM-compliant indexing tags
Integration of the plug-ins and the WP1 recording tool
Outcomes
Plug-ins to presentation applications like Adobe Acrobat,
OpenOffice or Microsoft PowerPoint able to generate indexing tags
to be used for indexing WP1 outcome.
Deliverables on this CD
Microsoft PowerPoint plugin (V3 Capture) for capturing a screencast
from presentation is freely available under Install.
