Foreign stays for non-academic staff: internships and lectures

ERASMUS+ Europe

Under the Erasmus+ Europe programme, a staff member of a higher education institution may go for the training:
  • at a foreign higher education institution (the purpose is to exchange experience in the form of a study visit, shadowing or other training),
  • to a foreign company (training / research center) for various types of activities — seminar, workshop, course, conference, training.

The stay must be agreed and confirmed in advance (a confirmation/invitation letter). Work plan (purpose of travel, lecture/ training program, expected results) confirmed by the host and home institutions must be approved in advance. Maximum stay is 6 weeks. The grant is awarded in the form lump sums per week of stay, travel expenses are reimbursed based on real expenses. Upon returning from the stay, you must fill in a trip report (you will be prompted by email) and bring signed confirmation of stay.

If you are interested in Erasmus+ training, please contact foreign office at FI.

Applications for this activity for the following academic year are collected each year from March to April. The contact person for the OIC is Zita Hrabovská (hrabovska@czs.muni.cz).

It is also possible to invite employees from a foreign enterprise to a higher education institution in the Czech Republic. The grant is awarded to the employee by the host higher education institution in the Czech Republic. Collection of applications is annually in March/April.

ERASMUS+ outside Europe

This program allows MU staff to attend 7–14 days training at universities in Erasmus+ partner countries/ universities outside the European Union. Training mobility has the main objective of sharing experience between the two institutions (workshops, shadowing, etc.). An employee can apply for a training stay as both a trainer and a trained one.

More information at CPC site or contact Adam Hykla (hykl@czs.muni.cz).

Stella

The STELLA program, the mobility of non-academic staff within the universities included in the Compostela Group, allows both week-long internships to non-academic staff at a foreign university and various MU departments to offer a vacancy for a one-week internship for staff from a foreign university. MU membership in the CGU provides the university with the opportunity to send one non-academic employee to this program with a CGU grant.

Applications are submitted once a year at the beginning of each calendar year.

More information at CPC site.

The contact person at CGS and STELLA is Martin Vašek, (vasek@czs.muni.cz).
