Teaching stays, internships and training

ERASMUS+ Europe

Under the Erasmus+ Europe programme, academics can use to two types of activities:

  • teaching mobility to a foreign university;
  • training at a foreign higher education institution or at a foreign enterprise, training/research center.

Teaching mobility

This mobility takes place at a university with which FI has a bilateral agreement. More information at OIS website.

If you are interested in teaching mobility within the Erasmus+ programme, please contact ODIS FI.

The collection of applications for this activity for the following academic year takes place every year from March to April. The contact person at OIS is Nikola Maráková (marakova@czs.muni.cz) and Věra Honzíková (honzikova@czs.muni.cz).

Training

The purpose of the training is to exchange experiences in the form of a study visit, shadowing, seminar, workshop, course or other trainings. More information at OIS website. The stay must be arranged and confirmed in advance (most often by confirmation letter / email). The nominated employee must have a prior approval work plan (purpose of the trip, program of lectures / training, expected results) from the host and home institution. The maximum length of stay is 6 weeks. The grant is awarded in the form of lump sums per week of stay , travel expenses are reimbursed on the basis of real expenses. After returning from the trip you need to fill in the message from the trip (you will be asked by email) and confirmation of stay.

As part of this activity, it is also possible to invite employees of a foreign company to a higher education institution in the Czech Republic. The grant is awarded to the company's employees by the receiving higher education institution in the Czech Republic. Collection of applications every year from March to April.

ERASMUS+ ICM (outside Europe)

This program allows MU employees to travel for 7–14 days to universities in Erasmus+ partner countries outside the European Union. The main goal of this mobility is to share experiences between the two institutions (teaching, training, workshops, shadowing, etc.). The employee can register for the stay as a trainer / teacher as well as a trainee.

Program of relations with traditional universities

MU has concluded special agreements with selected partner universities, thanks to which MU staff can travel for five-day stays, to the University of Vienna for 1 month. The aim of this program is to support stays that lead to establishing new contacts and expanding cooperation with new partners at partner universities. Under this program, you can travel to universities in the following countries: Germany (Greifswald, Regensburg), Hungary (Pécs), Poland (Poznań, Wroclaw), Austria (Vienna) and Slovakia (Bratislava).

Global Staff Mobility

The aim of the Global Staff Mobility programme is to expand staff mobility opportunities outside of the current grant programmes. Both academic and non-academic staff of MU can take part in this programme and spend up to 14 days at university in any destination.

AKTION

AKTION Czech Republic — Austria, cooperation in science and education, is a program to support bilateral cooperation in the tertiary sector through scholarships and cooperation projects. It provides one-month scholarships for university teachers. The deadlines for application submission are 15 April and 30 November.
