Your Excellency, The Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has a pleasure to invite your country to the 6th Central European Olympiad in Informatics (CEOI’99). Goals of CEOI The CEOI aims at motivating outstanding secondary school students from Central European countries to get more interested in informatics and to prove their competence in solving problems with the help of computers. The contestants should be winners of the National Olympiad in their country. In this year, CEOI will be held at Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, 2nd – 9th September 1999. The co-organizing institutions are Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague; Gymnazium kpt. Jarose, Brno; Czech Society for Informatics and The Association of Secondary School Clubs. Teams The team from your country will consist of four contestants – secondary school students, one team leader and one deputy leader. Following eight countries will be invited as regular participants: - Austria - Croatia - The Czech Republic - Hungary - Poland - Romania - Slovakia - Slovenia Moreover, following three countries will be invited as guest participants: - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Germany - The United States of America As deputies of the hosting country and city, there will be accepted two teams as guests: - Second Team of the Czech Republic - Team of Gymnazium Brno, Kpt. Travel costs to and from Brno are to be covered by each delegation (at own expense).
