ERC Starting Grant - newly open call
The ERC Starting Grant call is intended for outstanding early-career researchers who have demonstrated excellent research achievements and are ready to establish their independence and lead their own research team.
Key eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be within 10 years of obtaining their PhD.
- Maximum grant amount: €1.5 million (covering 100% of eligible direct costs plus 25% overheads on direct costs).
- Maximum project duration: 5 years.
- Proposals may be submitted in any field of research.
Deadline: October 14, 2026
