MEYS has announced the 13th joint call for proposals under the European Interest Group for Cooperation with Japan (EIG CONCERT Japan) on the topic of “AI-Powered Robotics for Real-World Applications”.
This call focuses on research in the development of intelligent, adaptive, and autonomous robotic systems capable of operating in dynamic, unstructured, and human-oriented real-world environments.

Deadline: July 22, 2026

Criteria:

• max. budget/project: 200 000€ (25% of indirect costs, 100% support from MEYS for universities)
• max. duration: 3 years (April 2027 - March 2030)
• consortium: at least 3 partners (1 from Japan, 2 from different EU participating countries - see call documentation)
• Ilegible costs: personnel costs,  expenses for the organization of small scientific events (e.g. room rent, catering, printing of conference brochures etc., travel costs, research materials/small-scale research equipment (listed and justified in the proposal)
• At this stage of the 13th joint call, no parallel application is submitted to MEYS (after the international results are announced, the MEYS will publish Call 8I27, intended for the Czech team of the selected international consortium)
