TAČR Sigma – Sub-objective 5
Proposal Submission Period: July 17, 2025 – September 17, 2025
Call Objective:
The main objective of the call is to support the establishment of centers formed by sufficiently broad consortia to ensure a comprehensive approach to the selected research topic and the involvement of leading experts in the given field. The aim is to prevent the formation of narrow research teams that would duplicate efforts—not only within the Czech Republic but often even within a single organization. The goal is for these teams to join forces and submit a joint project proposal
Restrictions and Conditions:
- Project Duration: 72 to 84 months
- Applicants: Research organizations, businesses, state organizational units, territorial self-governing units
- Requirements:
- A research organization may act either as the main applicant or as a project partner.
- If a research organization is the main applicant, the project must involve at least one business partner (small, medium, or large enterprise).
- A research organization may submit as a main applicant a maximum of one project proposal per selected research topic (out of four possible topics), i.e., up to four project proposals in total, each in a different topic.
- A project partner may participate in a maximum of two project proposals per selected research topic (out of four possible topics).
