Submit Your Master's Thesis to the Prestigious IT SPY 2026 Competition
Have you successfully defended your Master's thesis at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, during the 2025/2026 academic year?
Submit it to IT SPY, a prestigious competition that annually recognizes the best Master's theses in computer science and information technology from Czech and Slovak universities.
The competition brings together 17 IT faculties and evaluates approximately 1,200 Master's theses every year. IT SPY is supported by the Czech & Slovak ACM Chapter.
How to Apply?
Please send an email to oslejsek@fi.muni.cz no later than 30 June 2026. Your email should include:
- a link to your Master's thesis in the IS MU system,
- a PDF poster/flyer presenting the content and contribution of your thesis. The poster should be in A4 landscape format and may be written in Czech, Slovak, or English. It should include the author's name, the supervisor's name, the thesis title, and the name of the university/faculty where the thesis was defended.
What Can You Gain?
During the summer, up to 10 best Master's theses from the Faculty of Informatics will be selected. One of them will then be nominated to represent the faculty in the national final, which will take place in November in Prague.
The winner of the national competition receives a prize of EUR 2,000, while the thesis supervisor receives EUR 200. In addition, all finalist theses are actively promoted and presented by the competition organizers.
