Course VV080 is open to all FI students in the spring semester, with the opportunity to earn up to CZK 30,000

The Faculty of Informatics confirms its position as a leader in cybersecurity. In the spring semester, we are once again opening the unique course VV080 – Practical Cybersecurity Across Disciplines with Google.org, which transforms theoretical knowledge into real-world impact.

    What’s new this semester:
We have removed all enrollment restrictions. The course is now open to all FI students, including those who study cybersecurity as their main field.

    Why get involved?
The goal is to spread awareness and ignite the spark of digital security across society. As an FI student, you have a unique opportunity to act as an expert in the field and help schools, non-profit organizations, and companies strengthen their resilience.

What will you gain by completing the course?

    • Financial reward: You will be compensated for your expert work. By completing three field interventions, you can earn a stipend of CZK 30,000.

    • Expert status: You will become part of a team that sets trends in cybersecurity education.

    • Certificate: Proof of professional competence endorsed by Google.org.

    • Credits: Standard course completion within your study plan.

Use your knowledge where it is needed most – in the real world.
Enrollment is open in the IS under the course code VV080.

What do graduates of VV080 from the fall semester say?

“The experience gave me valuable skills in working with virtualization and containers. I also had the opportunity to design and deliver educational materials in practice, which will be very useful for me in the future.”

“Working on the project brought me valuable insights not only into cybersecurity itself, but especially into pedagogical practice, class organization, and working with student groups. I realized how important it is to combine theoretical information with practical activities that increase student engagement and contribute to a deeper understanding of the topic.”
