    Represent FI in the IT-SPY competition for the best Master's thesis – register by June 30

    Students who defended their Master’s thesis (not Bachelor’s) in the academic year 2024/2025 can apply for IT-SPY, a prestigious competition for the best thesis in the field of computer science. The competition involves 17 Czech and Slovak IT faculties, with a total of around 1,200 theses.

    The goal is to first select the 10 best theses from FI, and then choose the single best one to represent our faculty among the other universities. The competition is supported by the Czech & Slovak ACM Chapter.


    What you need to do:

    By June 30, 2025, send an email to oslejsek@fi.muni.cz

    Attach the following to your email:

    • a link to your thesis in IS
    • a PDF poster (A4 landscape) that presents the content and contribution of your thesis in a simplified form (in Czech, Slovak, or English). The poster must include:

    • the author’s name
    • the supervisor’s name
    • the title of the thesis
    • the university/faculty where the thesis was defended.

    What you can gain:

    • the winner of the national final receives 2,000 EUR (and their supervisor receives 200 EUR)
    • a place in the final in Prague and prestige among IT faculties
    • promotion of your work to the professional public.
