Networking, internships, theses. SPP Day connects students with companies
On Friday, 16 May 2025, the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University (FI MU) held its traditional Day with Industrial Partners (SPP Day). The event highlighted the possibilities of cooperation between the faculty, companies and students. This year's programme included 24 companies from the Association of Industrial Partners (SPP), including all three strategic partners - InvaSys a.s., Lexical Computing s.r.o. and Red Hat Czech, s.r.o.
"I am pleased with both the interest of the students and the offer of companies, which is still developing and gives inspiration to start new projects," said Vlastislav Dohnal, Vice Dean for External Relations and Partnerships at FI MU, who hosted the whole day. The programme featured two blocks of short presentations in which companies attracted visitors to their stands. These were subsequently opened in the FI lobby and in meeting room S110.
The event brought together companies and students in search of cooperation opportunities, whether in the form of internships or in the writing of final theses. The specific range of topics offered by the industrial partners is also available on the SPP website. An interesting addition was the Sewio location system, which the students were able to try out on site.
We thank all participants for their interest, as well as all those who contributed to the SPP Day. Especially the companies, academics and students from FI.
