Why study at FI MUNI?
Motivational scholarships
At the Faculty of Informatics of MU, scholarships are set up to support students in various situations - for excellent academic results, in activities related to their studies and in difficult times in life. The rules and processes are governed by university and faculty regulations; in practice, everything is handled clearly through the Masaryk University Information System (IS MU), including, for example, setting up a bank account for scholarship payments.
At FI MU, you can receive a scholarship after the first semester of study. As part of the
scholarship to support promising students in the first year of Bachelor's studies, the faculty rewards students who have successfully completed the first semester of study and have also had a
very good result in mathematics or participated in selected high school Olympiads.
After each semester of study, a merit scholarship can be awarded for excellent study results- the amount is based on the overall average together with the number of exams and is awarded automatically if the conditions are met.
In addition, the faculty supports mobility, creative activities, student development projects or other study-related activities.

At the level of the whole Masaryk University there are other scholarships that help not only with the practical aspects of studying.
The accommodation scholarship provides a small amount of support each semester for the cost of living in Brno for applicants residing outside the Brno district. MU also provides a
social scholarship for those who meet the legal conditions, or a
hardship scholarship as exceptional one-semester assistance.
MU is also able to support active students who are doing something for the community. The Rector's Scholarship Programme to Support Student Activities rewards student activity - especially that which goes beyond the boundaries of the faculty or university.
