Short Professional Bio

Assistant professor and vice-dean for development, public relations and lifelong learning at Masaryk University, Faculty of Informatics. IT administrator at Faculty of Social Studies. Married, three children.

He has received his master degree in computer science at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, in 1999. In 2004, he received his Ph.D. degree at the same university, both for application of software engineering methods in the area of rendering architectures and global illumination. In 2005, he spent one month at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms, Computer Graphics Group, Vienna University of Technology, as a guest researcher.

Nowadays, he is a member of the Laboratory of Software Architectures and Information Systems - LaSArIS and a guest member of the Laboratory of Searching and Dialogue - LSD. For more info try:

 

Hobbies - Firefighting

Volunteer fireman since 1992. Active member of emergency unit with the rank of "mature firefighter". From 2004 to 2009 chairman of Volunteer Firefighters Association (VFA) in Suchý, Czech Republic. Since 2010 chairman of VFA fire sub-district (sub-district 8 within the Blansko district). Holder of the following certificates and medals (in the left-right order in Fig. 1):
