My interests are within electronic publishing, math digitization, textual information systems, natural language processing. In particular, language issues in quality typesetting, engineering of electronic publishing and digitization projects and machine learning [by competing patterns].

I do teach at the Department of Computer Graphics and Design of Faculty of informatics, Masaryk University, Brno. Electronic Document Preparation, Textual Information Systems and other topics.
I am TeX advocate, CSTUG board member (I was president during 1995--2000), and board member of TeX Users Group worldwide (1997--2000). I am currently MKM trustee (for 2008--2011 period).
I organized DML 2009 workshop Towards Digital Mathematics Library.
