Programme of Activities

The main activities of the Specialist Board are the following:

  • structure General Study Plans for doctoral study programs and submit them to the faculty's Scientific Board for approval,

  • appoint members of Admission Committees and determine entrance requirements,

  • propose appointments and withdrawals of supervisors to the faculty's Scientific Board; supervisors are appointed and withdrawn by the Dean,

  • initiate, prepare and coordinate lectures, seminars, further course and scientific work of PhD students,

  • approve students' individual and semester study plans,

  • check that study requirements are fulfilled,

  • prepare and approve thesis proposals,

  • propose opponents, the chairman and members of the Doctoral Final Exam Committee, set a date, time and place of final exams and thesis defences,

  • contribute to a high quality level of the study program through regular study checks and evaluations submitted to the faculty's Scientific Board,

  • respond to questions regarding the doctoral study program raised by the Dean.
