Call for Papers


Topics of
Interest
Principal topics of interest include (but are not limited to): design and analysis of algorithms (sequential, parallel, distributed, approximation, computational biology, computational geometry, graph, network, number theory, on-line, optimisation) and data structures, automata, grammars and formal languages, complexity (communication, computational, descriptional) and computability, concurrency theory, cryptography and security, databases and knowledge-based systems, foundations of programming, formal specifications and program development, models of computation, parallel and distributed computing, quantum computing, molecular computing, semantics and logics of programs, theoretical issues in artifical intelligence.

The First
Deadline
The first deadline is the usual one . Papers are thoroughly reviewed, accepted papers will appear in the hard-copy proceedings published by Springer. Double submissions are allowed only to MFCS'98 satellite workshops.

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract not exceeding 10 LNCS pages electronically using a special W3 form. The best results are obtained by preparing your text in TeX or LaTeX using special packages provided by Springer. See (NEW!) instructions for authors for details. The title page of each paper should contain the name, affiliation, and e-mail address of each author.

The Second
Deadline
The second deadline is for the last-minute hot topics. The emphasis is on attractiveness of potential talks. Accepted papers will be presented in a special "wild tiger" session and they will be published in electronic proceedings. There is no restriction on double submissions.

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract not exceeding 5 pages electronically using a special W3 form. The title page of each paper should contain the name, affiliation, and e-mail address of each author.
