ERASMUS (LLP)

Studies

Within the LLP/ERASMUS programme students spend a minimum of 3 months or one semester (maximum 12 months) at the universities which have bilateral agreements with the Faculty of Informatics. The grant is for students who have completed at least one year of their studies. However, students are allowed to take part in this programme only once during their whole study period.

Traineeships

Student go during the study for work placement to a foreign company, training or research center or other organization. Internships may not be performed in the EU institutions and organizations that manage the EU programmes. Internships must be in the length of 3-12 months.

The annual deadlines for submitting applications for grants for Erasmus placements:
  • 28th February
  • 31st May
  • 30th September
FI students have to find a foreign firm and arrange an traineeship themselves.

Intensive language courses

It is up to 6-week intensive courses of lesser-used languages ​​of the countries participating in the LLP (other than English, German, French and Spanish). They are held in 22 countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey). Language tuition takes place in small groups (for beginners and intermediate). The course includes lectures on the history and culture of the country, cultural events and sightseeing tours.

Courses are held twice per academic year, before the beginning of each semester - summer courses (July-September), winter (January-February). Erasmus scholarship students receive grant from their home university. The scholarship is only partially cover the costs of lump sum payments equal to the amount provided for study/work placement.
