The field of study concentrates on knowledge and skills needed in all levels of development, administration and modifications of informatics systems generally and also other wide software systems. The accent is put into knowledge necessary at analysis and specifications demands and designing of system. Graduates can work at different places at the IT departments with participation on development and operation of informatics systems and using IT for organizations´ activities.

Tuition structure

Structure of courses offers a big flexibility and faciliates to students to graduate in this study field with completion of individualy chosen courses suit to them and according to previous knowledge of relevant disciplines. In applied level FI offers courses with scope on „classic“ business and also geographic, enviromental or public administration systems or with scope on information systems in view of network technologies, safety or data discovery and mining.

Laboratory

Students working on the diploma thesis or on the other projects can use lots of laboratories. Especially there are two labs: The Knowledge Discovery Group specializes on development and tuition of techniques for machine learning, discovery and mining of knowledge in databases. It focuses on pre-processing methods, learning methods for natural language processing and mining in complicated structured data. The Service Systems Laboratory deals with basic and applied research, construction and specialists education in the field of knowledge and information robots.
