Embedded Systems

Field of study: Embedded Systems
Responsible person: prof. Ing Václav Přenosil, CSc.
Responsible workplace: Department of Information Technologies

An emphasis of study field is placed on balancing theoretical and practical courses that apply to the design, implementation, analysis, testing and operation of embedded systems. Topics of study are technical and program devices and procedures using for their design. Study field offers specific knowledge for work with programmable structures compact with knowledge in the fields of parallel and distributed systems, computer networks, and cryptography. Study field "Embedded Systems" is accredited in English language and is open for students with good command of English.

Tuition structure

It is possible to cooperate with potential employers to learn about the design of specific embedded systems and their developmental tools.

Working on projects in small teams is an integral part of these studies. Projects are oriented towards experimental and prototype solutions and to practical issues that emerge from the research and development activities of the faculty.

Total list of subjects you can find in electronic study catalogue. We can mention at least the following subjects:
  • Design of Embedded Systems
  • Real Time Systems
  • Practical Electronic
  • Formal Verification Methods

Laboratory

For tuition of this study field is available the Design and Architecture of Digital System Laboratory, which is open to students during the tuition and also for research activities. Laboratory is equipped with sufficient measurements and present technical and program tools for application of programming fields FPGA, one chip microprocessors and processors of type DSP.
