Admission Procedure

Applications for studies have to be submitted electronically. Filling out the electronic application form generates an access password for further contact with the appropriate faculty as well as an individual variable symbol for payment of the application fee. This enables an applicant to check via Internet whether the payment has been received and the application accepted. The faculty Office for Studies can also pass on information about the entrance examinations and other matters via e-mail.


Bachelor study programmmes

The Bachelor's Degree Programme is the first level of high education in Informatics. It is open to students who had completed upper secondary education (secondary schools and grammar schools) with final school leaving examination. Applicants must have a good command of Czech language. Standard length of study is 3 years.


Master study programmes

The Master's Degree Programme (following Bachelor´s) is the second level of high education in Informatics. It is open to students holding a Bachelor's or equivalent degree. Applicants must have a good command of Czech language (except study fields Embedded Systems and SSME). Standard length of study is 2 years.


Doctoral Study

Since its establishment in 1994 the Faculty of Informatics has been offering a doctoral study programme to anyone interested in gaining the title PhD. Currently accredited is the Informatics doctoral study programme with the Informatics study field. The studies can take either a full-time or combined form. Students can develop their specialization in almost all fields of informatics under the leadership of one of our 20 supervisors.

Lifelong Learning

Admission procedure to Lifelong Learning Program at the Faculty of Informatics MU, study field MiVT Information Technology is held twice a year – for autumn and spring semester.
Entrance examination to the Lifelong Learning Program is not arranged.
