General Information

The aim of this module is to prepare teachers throughout the Czech Republic in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in English language teaching. There is a vast number of computer-based resources currently available to assist develop language knowledge and ability, and it is the intention of this course to disseminate an awareness of what exists and train teachers to use it effectively in their teaching. There are self-contained, dedicated software and web-based tools, as well as general programs that have specific applications to language education, such as word processors. Furthermore, the internet offers a vast array of resources, such as dictionaries, lesson plans, interactive exercises as well as opportunities for international communication and cooperation.
